The hot tub is in and finally 105 degrees and I find myself using 2-3 times a day. My side has  8 jets. Jim's has 5. and we can turn all the power to one set of jets or share it. This is far more heavenly than I expected and since it is sheltered on  the north patio with no windows overlooking the area other than our own, we can dash outside with a towel on, hang it on hooks jim installed and jump right into the tub. Jim likes it too and so it is a 30 minutes period everyday where we snuggle in hot water. play with rubber duckies and just enjoy the sounds  of the maple leaves and sondg sparrows. we have an umbrella over one half now so we can still soak in the rain and I ordered an offset umbrella which will let us havethe entire area covered including our robes and shoes. 

In short: It's fantastic.  Wednesday I met with an orthodontist and aside from being strikingly gorgeous she  does an entire treatment plan with molds of my teeth at no fee. so in two weeks I go back to have molds made and then two weeks later we  go over the option for my lower teeth which have always been too crowded as I have such a small jaw.... and then we can proceed with finally getting them the way they should be. It's never to late to get that bite right. chomp.

I got a prototype of a chemo cap made for a neighbors mom who has cancer and after I finished about half a dozen of the caps for her I can shift to wool dying mode and start building up my body of work for the Fall show.I am quite excited and validated and thrilled to think I will be meeting other women artists in the area. I bought soe wonderful  amber and amethyst beads for new work and some simple box frames. IKEA is the best deal in town. but it's a 15 mile drive or more and I tend to live within a 5 mile sphere of portland

Tonight we see Third Rail. one of my favorite theatre companies--- the awesomely brave actor TimTrue is part of the company and he  blows me away every time I see him act.  and then tomorrow maybe i can finally get rid of these blonde roots that reveal the truth about my red hair. . sunday I start the volunteer shift.... tours on sunday, greeter on monday and then OMSI on Tuesday. It's working very nicely as I get to leave OMSI before rush hour hits the bridges that let one side of portland connect to the other.
