okay so I am a little closet obsessed

 

 

which is good because with these purple spots all over my face I dont want to go out much and get stared at. the purple spots are the rsults of a laser treatment for the redness of rosacea and a loittle skin resurfacing for small lines and enlarged pores. my health insurance will cover most of it as the procedure also eliminates pre cancers on my face for that sun bathing I did when I was 16 years old.   It was done on hallloween and my doctor was dressed as spock... a little freaky, he is adorable and funny and has a habit  of calling people my dear lady or my dear sir, but the most important thing is how aggressively and competently  he is helping me get  the skin back that I had before I developed rosacea. the procedure took 2.5 hours and wasn't toopainful but there was swelling and now two days later it is itchy and i keep wanting to touch the spots on  my face and have to remember not to do that.

 

it's been raining for two days and I have reduced to buying a john grisham novel at the grocery store. they are so formulaic but gripping. Last night I watched Prairie Home Companion. zzzzzzz except for harrelson and reilly and whenever streep sings. GK's flatness was great fun, but it's not altman at his best by any means. Someome should also remind me to vote. I read the 100 page pamphlet on the candidates  in issues, very impressive  that this comes from the state government. of vourse i will be voting for kulongoski- did i spell that right?

 

Jim arrives saturday morning; we'll try some fun right away rather than doing chores for several days first. unless the rain gets in the way. But i have cleared abi's toys from the den and will have his favorite foods here for him and cook ethnic. and he can repair the wall and maybe we can start tiling and paint the dining room red.  and playing quiddler and watching west wing reruns. and taking melissa scented bubble baths. dull dull dull and so very wonderful. night all.
