eyeglasses for older people cost alot of money. I bought new red flexon frames ($150) and then the lenses with progressive add bifocals. nearsightedness, and astigmatism cost $525. Then non scratch coating, polishes edges and transition  tinting (otherwise i need sep sunglasses) all come to $607. and change. and i decided to bite the bullet and get reading glasses for reading in bed and computer use. those were a deal at only $100.

 

 

 

Which brings up the question of what do people on limited means or with many nearsighted children do? It's unthinkable isn't it?

 

and in case you care let me tell you that if you have spent several hours embroidering the yoke of a dress with fantastic white patterns, do NOT cut away the stabilizer after drinking beer. that's right DO NOT attempt this at home. In fact after a widner hefenweizen go straight to bed and do not collect salary while passing go.  trust me

 

Oh and important insight. I finally figured out why I have such rage about my western neighbors and the insight has diminished the rage tremendously. It works. Thank goodness.
